We’ve given this minimalist design a splash of panache with “Welcome’ below the photo in a flowing modern font that manages to be both elegant and playful at the same time. We love the stylized, elongated flourish at both ends of the word that adds to its whimsical flair.
To highlight this aspect of the design we’ve chosen an elegant gold tone sometimes called California Gold for the ‘Welcome’ script. But please feel free to change the message to whatever strikes your fancy, be it ‘introducing’ or ‘hello, world!’, etc.
The gender neutral design and color scheme make these baby arrival postcards a great choice for a girl or boy, but you can also change the color of any text to pink or blue or anything else that suits your style.
If you’d like to highlight your gratitude for a gift and make this a thank you card, you can edit it to show ‘thanks so much!’ or ‘thank you’ or similar sentiments. And in any case, you can include your gratitude in a short message on the back.
You can change the color and font of this or any other text according to your own taste. The default color for the name and details on the front is black, and the default color of the sample/placeholder text on the back is a gray tone.
If you prefer a more minimalist look, you can delete without replacing any of our sample stats-you might not want to include the time of day or length, for example.
We’ve set the background on both sides as transparent, to let the color of your paper simply serve as the base tone. You can change this on one or both sides by choosing a color instead. On back, we’ve added some placeholder text for you to replace with your own message.
After you delete our placeholder text, you might decide to simply leave the back message part of the card entirely blank, so that you can add a handwritten message with your signatures after you receive your cards.
In any case, please do remember to remove all of the sample/placeholder text including the details on the front and the placeholder text and sample return address on the back as well as our sample photo!
The default paper type, matte, has a soft warmth to it and resists smudging, so it’s a great choice for writing your own message. But you can easily change this to semi-gloss if you prefer.
