Birth Announcement Folded Card
Description
This simply charming photo birth announcement folded card features a contemporary design that lets you easily customize it to suit your style. We also offer this design in a flat card format.
Partially overlapping with the photo toward the top, we’ve added ‘introducing’ in all lower case in a relaxed, modern script that lends a feeling of warmth and familiarity. But please feel free to change the message to whatever strikes your fancy, be it ‘welcome’ or ‘hello, world!’, etc. If you’d like to highlight your gratitude for a gift and make this a thank you card, you can edit it to show ‘thanks so much!’ or ‘thank you’ or similar sentiments. And in any case, you can include your gratitude in a short message on the inside of the card.
This and all other text is in black. You can change the color and font of this or any other text according to your own taste, and we invite you to play with these elements. For example, you might want to highlight your baby’s name by choosing a color other than the default black. An elegant gold tone such as California Gold(color A98F64) can work wonderfully in this context, and you can enter that or any color number you might find in your research in zazzle’s color editing mode to experiment in this way with any of the text or the background on the outside or inside of the card.
If you prefer a more minimalist look, you can delete without replacing any of our sample stats-you might not want to include the time of day or length, for example. We’ve set the background on the front and inside as transparent, to let the color of your paper simply serve as the base tone. You can change this by choosing a color for a particular side instead, be it a soft blue or pink or anything else.
On the inside right half, we’ve added some placeholder text for you to replace with your own message. Though we used all upper case for the placeholder text, you can of course change this look, and you can also change the font. After you delete our placeholder text, you might decide to simply leave the back entirely blank, so that you can add a handwritten message with your signatures after you receive your cards. Or perhaps you’d like to enter your message and delete our sample names in script without replacing them with your own, in order to sign your names by hand on each card.
On the left half of the inside of the card, you’ll notice that we’ve added a second sample photo. We included this option because you might have trouble deciding between your two favorite photos, in which case, you don’t have to, since you’ll have space on the front and on the inside to share them both. But you can also simply delete this inside placeholder photo without replacing it and leave that part of the card blank. Please keep this in mind when you edit! In any case, please do remember to remove all of the placeholder text on the front and the inside as both of our sample photos!
The default paper type, matte, has a soft warmth to it and resists smudging, so it’s a great choice for writing your own message. You can change this to semi-gloss when you edit the card if you prefer that look.
