We’ve included a ‘we eloped!’ message in a lively modern gold script just below your photo that actually overlaps with the photo a bit, so the overall effect will depend on the coloring of the lower part of your photo. This script element can’t be altered. But you can change the color, font or size of any of the other text on both sides.
Below this script, you’ll notice our unconventional use of upper and lower case. While we’ve used all upper case for your names, we’ve used all lower case for the sample city and state name. You can of course change this to standard first letter capitalization when you edit for your own details if you prefer.
When you edit to show your own date, you might also change the date format to suit your style. The text color for your details on the front is black by default. The default background on the front is set as transparent to let the color of the paper simply serve as the base tone.
On back, we’ve picked a tone called White Smoke that’s a very light gray, with mostly white in it. If you prefer another background look for one or both sides though, you can easily pick a color with the editing tools.
We’ve put some placeholder text on the back for you to delete and replace with your own message, with or without your names, if you want to sign by hand when you get the cards. But you might also simply choose to delete our placeholder text and leave the back entirely blank so that you can write a message by hand on each card and sign your names.
In any case please do remember that there’s placeholder text on the back as well as the front and to delete all of our sample/placeholder text on both sides of the card, as well as our sample photo!
The default text color on back is a very dark gray that’s mostly black. The default paper type, matte, has a soft warmth to it and resists smudging, so it’s a great choice for writing your own message. You can edit this and choose semi-gloss or another paper type instead.
The default card shape is standard sharp corners, but rounded corners also work wonderfully with this design, so try both looks in editing mode and see which strikes your fancy.
