We’ve picked rounded corners as the default shape setting, but you can easily change the look to sharp corners, as that look also works wonderfully with this design.
On the front below your photo your baby’s name and stats are an elegant gold tone called California Gold, but when you edit our sample text to show your own details, you can easily also change the text color and font to suit your style.
For example, you might want to choose another color for your baby’s name and/or stats. If you prefer a more minimalist look, you can delete without replacing any of our sample stats-you might not want to include the time of day or length, for instance.
We’ve set the background on the front as transparent, to let the color of your paper simply serve as the base tone. You can change this by choosing a color instead. On the back, we’ve chosen an elegant background color called White Smoke, it’s a very light gray that’s mostly white. You can easily change this color as well if you’d like, to another hue or to transparent to show the paper color.
We’ve added some placeholder text for you to replace with your own message. Though we used a shade of gray for the placeholder text, you can change the color as well as the font. After you delete our placeholder text, you might decide to simply leave the back entirely blank, so that you can add a handwritten message with your signatures after you receive your cards.
In any case, please do remember to remove all of the placeholder and sample text on both sides as well as our sample photo!
The default paper type, matte, has a soft warmth to it and resists smudging, so it’s a great choice for writing your own message. Check zazzle’s other paper choices as well to see what best suits your style!
The default card size is 7″ x 5″ and you can order your newborn announcements with or without white envelopes.
